This was produced for the works exhibited at “Iwai Tsudou [Celebrating and Gathering] Design Exhibition,” held at Life Style Design Center Gallery of Carrot Tower in Sangenjaya since December 20, 2013 till January 19, 2014. The process of making new-year decorations mainly from straws and straw papers is recorded.
2013年12月20日から2014年1月19日まで、三軒茶屋キャロットタワー生活工房ギャラリーにて行なわれた「祝い集うデザイン展」の出品作品に合わせて制作しました。藁や藁紙などを主な素材に正月飾りを制作し、そのプロセスが記録されています。

Giving respect to a sense of awe of and faith in natural phenomenon and a distinctive Japanese sense of invisible “ma” (betweenness), she observes, records, and searches the phenomenon of things and their time course and environment, and at her exhibitions, she aims at suggesting awareness of “something” between everyday things. She explores human bodies perceiving anything, their existence, and the space surrounding them.
目に見えない「間」に対する日本人独特の感覚や、自然などへの信仰や畏怖の精神を通し、事物の現象や、それに伴う時間の経過や場の観察・記録・調査をし、日常の物事の隙間にある「何か」への気付きを目指した展示を行う。万物を知覚する身体そのものへの興味や、その存在性、それらを取り巻く空間のあり方を探る。
